KSHMR has been inspiring producers on Splice since he first released the project file to his track “Burn” in 2015. Since then he’s shared more insights and inspiration with his two popular samples packs, more in depth project files, and the Lessons of KSHMR video series. This week KSHMR is back on Splice with the biggest sample pack of all time including a unique new type of sample that KSHMR designed specifically for Splice, the Song Starter.

Song Starters are a collection of chord progressions, synths, atmospheres, keys and more that KSHMR has designed to get the creative juices flowing. To celebrate we’re giving you one of our favorites to work with. Take this Song Starter, or any from his new pack, and start working on your latest masterpiece to share with KSHMR in a major contest coming later this week. Use this Firestarter as a space to workshop ideas and share what you’re working on before submitting your track to KSHMR. We'll choose our favorites in a couple weeks to get shoutouts here and on Twitter.

SHOUTOUTS

Shoutouts to everyone who submitted to this opportunity, every submission had something we liked in it but these three tracks really spoke to us as we listened through.

@graysongoerss turns the KSHMR songstarter on its head with a velvety Trip Hop rhythm section followed by a dubbed out double-time dubbed turnaround.

We vibed to @shaipsbeats's smooth, soulful shaker selections, but our ears really perked up when his dusty drum loops morphed into a future bass banger! Well done Shaips!

@twinnemesis’s track reimagined the song starter with a soulful heart and chill trap bounce that kept our shoulders swaying, and could easily accommodate a smooth R&B vocalist. Keep it up!
