Hi everyone! We're excited to launch the remix contest of our track 'Way Back', released last month via Monstercat.

We will judge all submissions based on two main aspects: technicality and creativity.
1) Technicality: how the mix sounds technically and how professional the remix sounds. This is very important but equally important is creativity.
2) Creativity: how interesting, fresh, and creative the sounds, chords, and melodies are in the remix. We accept all genres and don't have any preferences as far as genre or style goes.

We also only provide the vocal stems to you because we want all remixers to make something in their own style with their own sound, rather than re-using our sounds. Using only the acapella to make a remix is the way we personally approach most, if not all our remixes: we only take the acapella of a song and make a whole new production out of it. We feel this is going to make the contest much more interesting and challenging for everyone. Be creative and feel free to take the track in a different direction!

The winning remix will most likely consist of a technically well-produced mix with a creative, fresh take on the song, and/or have a very catchy beat or melody. Use whatever music style brings you the most inspiration!
