O.D.D. Official Remix Competition

China is an Asian hub for grassroots electronic music. That’s why Metapop and Native Instruments are proud to present our next official remix competition series, #RemixChina.

Spotlighting the emerging artists, beatmakers, DJs and producers who are defining the modern underground sound of Asia and beyond, #RemixChina gives music makers like you the chance to showcase your skills and get discovered in the process.

Next, it’s Tzusing’s intense track, “O.D.D.” The Shanghai- and Taipei-based producer has made waves in global techno circles with quality past releases on notable underground labels like L.I.E.S., Midnight Shift and Public Possession.

Speaking about the state of the Chinese scene, he said: “At the moment, people are open to new sounds (and old). It’s still so fresh here so there aren’t codified ideas of club music and people don’t lock themselves into specific genres.”

“What I’m looking for in a winning remix is originality and the ability to put it into a different context,” he continues. “I also never play this track out so if someone can make it into something I can play out, that would be awesome!”
