Basement Era Official Remix Competition

Got what it takes to become our official MASCHINE Challenge champion? Create a beat using these hand-picked sounds from the BASEMENT ERA expansion — the soulful sound of classic East Coast hip-hop — and prove it. The grand-prize winner and runner-up will take home a MASCHINE JAM ($399), a one-year LANDR Pro subscription ($299) and get a commercial release on MetaPop to Spotify, Apple Music, Beatport, and more. The grand prize winner will also receive a $200 store voucher to use in the Native Instruments Online Shop.

The rules are simple: Create a track in any genre you like, and submit it by February 13, 2018. Your beat must use the sounds provided from BASEMENT ERA, and be at least two minutes long. You can use any additional sounds you like, provided you own the copyright.

The MASCHINE team will pick the winning beat. Extra points awarded for both originality and technical skill. Good luck!

RULES

- Tracks should be a minimum of two minutes long.
- Use at least two of the provided samples from BASEMENT ERA – a variety of one-shots and loops are available in WAV format.
- Any genre is welcome.
- Do not use any material to which you do not own the copyright.
- The NI MASCHINE team will pick the winning beat based on a combination of creative and technical factors.

Winners must be prepared to show project files, if necessary, in order to prove that sounds from BASEMENT ERA were used.
